​The Basic Life Support (BLS) for Partners Classroom Course is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve adult, child and infant choking in a safe, timely and effective manner.
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Partners ​is one of the most popular American Heart Association courses taught across the country, as often healthcare providers such as EMTs, paramedics, ER physicians, and other healthcare providers are REQUIRED to have valid, up-to-date BLS certification.

BLS – Instructor-Led Training

 The BLS Course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED.

In the Instructor-led course, students participate in simulated clinical scenarios and learning stations. Students work with an AHA BLS Instructor to complete BLS skills practice and skills testing. Students also complete a written exam.

Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infants

In addition, BLS training can be appropriate for first responders, such as police officers and firefighters, as well as for laypeople whose work brings them into contact with members of the public, such as school, fitness center, or hotel and restaurant employees.
